[ art show! ]
April 9, 2009 This has been a crazy week with two engagement shoots in NYC and DC, RECREATIVE's website launch and graphic portfolio shoot, a wedding set to finish editing, and my own official website launch. Not to mention getting my India vaccinations and visa done while mapping out the South Asia photojournalism trip. Little insane.
While trying to find order through all my sets this week, there are a few that I come across as worthy of pushing through towards an exhibition. The Obama inauguration photos I took in January were definitely a milestone in my work and helped solidify a more journalistic discipline. Some of my favorite pieces made it into an art exhibit fundraiser at the brand new FXFowle-designed Sky House in the Flatiron District on May 2nd. Part of the proceeds of the art sales will go to benefit APEX, a nonprofit in New York City dedicated to providing mentoring and educational services to the Asian American youth population. Here are the details to the art show:
